What are people's experience with virtual classrooms ? WiZiQ offers a virtual Classroom that doesn't cost $100,000 for a site license. That's what attracted me to the WiZiQ VC platform.

A week from today I'll be one day into what I hope will be the start of my career in Journalism. I'll be reporting for the AZ Republic in Phoenix as a Pulliam Fellow (don't let the name fool you, it's only a 10-week gig unless they decide to employ at the end). Just wondering what everybody else is doing post-graduation (or at least for summer employment).
My next few days of bliss ignorance before I start work will be taken up by frantically trying to find some form of insurance while coming t… Continue
People have told me that Facebook is dying and this will be the new big thing. I see there are 50 some odd members but.... does anyone really use this?Continue

RATING: 9.2
An anonymous artist from London said in an interview "only five people know I make tunes." Burial can be classified as jungle/dub down-tempo reverberation and is the latest and greatest sound that will ever meet your ears. The self titled album "Burial", released in 2006 made The Wire Magazine's album of the year and has been critically acclaimed. Burial's sophomore album "Untrue", released in late 2007 which made 'metacritic.com's' album… Continue

RELEASE DATE: May 13, 2008
LABEL: Atlantic
RATING: 6.8
Death Cab's sixth full length album "Narrow Stairs", is not going to set any records in 2008 for originality, nor is it going to make fans think they are listening to the same sound that made them believe in lead singer Ben Gibbard's genius which surfaced in past albums like "Transatlanticism". This is the bands second album with Atlantic Records, after "Plans" was released in 2005. The problem is ... I liked Death Cab For Cutie and now I d… Continue
With the recent updates we received last night, I see the site being capable of a lot of growth. I'm planning to meet with the digital initiatives person in the UNR communications department. I want to talk to her about using the sites Events page as a replacement or supplement to ASUN and UNR homepage events. Because of the ability to export events into someone's personal computer as well as get RSVP information, there's a higher potential for attendance and finding out what kind of events peop… Continue

There are some days when my brain hurts and then there are days when I surprise myself. It nice to have a good work day as it ends in nice contended sleep. It does not matter if the work ended well or not but as long as it was work done with full concentration. Today was that day for me. It is also funny how addicted I feel about working at times. And for sure who does not like not working.
Like phonons my excitement also run in packets. and then die out. Similarly my work attitude as not reaso… Continue

Hi. My name is Jay and i'm a film critic. Yes, its true, i am a grouchy old cynic who hates everything that comes onto the big screen. Well.... I'm not that bad yet, but i'm sure that day will come. For now i am still a guy who loves the occasional blockbuster (ala Transformers) and the every other month Judd Apatow gross out comedy. I tend to generally enjoy or dislike movies, but rarely hate or love any films (I do have a strange obsession with Will Ferrell though...). Over the past years i ha… Continue

So its that time of the month again when I an in the mood of spending again. And this time its on cycle. Me and my hubby bought ourselves bikes from Walmart. I should re-frame the last sentence as I made my hubby to come with me to Walmart and black mailed him into buying cycles for each of us. Buying as always was easy but the big question of how to carry it back was lingering around by the time we came out with it. So he went back and bought a gadget which took more than 1/2 hour to mount beca… Continue

Today was the day of realization or at least one of those days. I was volunteering from Society of Women Engineers for WOW! That's Engineering. This event is to promote engineering and attract students into it. Its amazing how much kids of todays world have been exposed to. Internet has done a great job for one. A kid came to me and my friend and asked "So what's the easiest part of being an engineer?" and before I could answer her I was taken away by her question. Frankly, I did not expect it a… Continue
In response to this "Study shows that newspaper blogs need to step up interaction with audience"
It doesn't help when the blogs aren't attached to something people can find, such as the RSJ Web site. Blogging by nature is severely fragmented and people find them often by sheer luck or through intensive searches on Technorati.
The problem with political blogs is that they are matter of fac… Continue
I realized since this is a site open to almost all and with the laws getting beyond anyones understanding (including the ones who made it), it would be wise to have a DISCLAIMER. Besides I would also like to escape a long lecture from the readers on my writing.

In my political science class my teacher accidentally brought up an interesting point. He was talking about, and this is something I've always said, how many religious followers believe their religion is absolutely right. And this makes sense since it's a personal belief but what he said he disliked is that most of these followers are so appalled at the fact you don't agree with their belief they spend most of their energy trying to convince you're wrong and their right. They're incapable of eve… Continue

As you will see from the profile , i will soon be given award for having profile on every corner of the internet. It all started with "O" in my case. Yup Orkut. Then SWE made me join Facebook which I hardly use and frankly don't even know how to use it. Then came linked in. That one was mostly because of my hubby as "we are professionals".
And just two days back my another resolution to read sagebrush made me come across a new UNR group and here I am not on it. For some people like me sky is no… Continue
