Future of the Inside UNR

With the recent updates we received last night, I see the site being capable of a lot of growth. I'm planning to meet with the digital initiatives person in the UNR communications department. I want to talk to her about using the sites Events page as a replacement or supplement to ASUN and UNR homepage events. Because of the ability to export events into someone's personal computer as well as get RSVP information, there's a higher potential for attendance and finding out what kind of events people like to attend.

I also want to find a way to get them to use the Notes section for their benefit. In return, I want the university to pay to get rid of the Google ads so we can use it for more valuable information/space. And possibly get them to pay for a domain to eliminate the "ning" part of the address.

More on this later. But what do you all think of these ideas?
